My brother took me to court where we appeared in front of this judge. My brother falsely claimed that I, a 48-year-old woman attacked him and my mother. I showed the judge a video of my brother attacking me. The judge stated verbatim that I acted in self-defense. After viewing the video, there was simply no denying it. still, he issued a restraining order because I made one single phone call to my brother and sent two texts calling him names after he beat me up. My mother who also made similar claims showed the bruising on her wrists. But when I questioned her and proved to the judge that actually I was holding her by the wrist because she was trying to hit me he cut me off, said he understood and made me stop questioning her. Still regardless of false claims which I proved to be false he unlawfully and improperly issued a restraining order. This was in 2018. In 2023 after my brother and mother passed away My brother’s widow came into that same court to extend this order. She falsely claimed that she served me at an address. I haven’t lived in for over 10 years. On the documents she provided for the court she listed an address that I have not lived in in over five years. The court could have very easily looked up my address and seen that there was no way I could’ve been served there. But this judge didn’t bother to look. He simply approved her restraining order and never tried to ensure that I had been afforded the opportunity to come in and dispute or her claims. I’ve literally never spoken to this woman beyond a simple hello in the last 40 years and don’t even have her phone number yet I have a restraining order which violates my civil rights issued by this judge again unlawfully and improperly. He should not be a judge. I don’t understand how he’s getting two good reviews on this website. He was basically the most bias unlawful judge I’ve ever stood in front of. The most disgusting part is that when he wrote up his minute order, he completely left out the pertinent information about the video. His minute order justified his issuance of the restraining order by admitting the facts that I presented to him. I don’t think this guy should be a judge. I don’t think he should even be a lawyer or lack clerk. He has no integrity whatsoever and he’s simply dishonest.

I am an attorney, and for the first time in 50 years of practicing law, I became a plaintiff. The action that we filed was against our neighbor for allowing her vegetation to grow so high that it blocked our view of the city. Judge Amerian agreed to assist us in settling our case via a mandatory settlement conference. The MSC was ordered by the trial judge. Not only did Judge Amerian spend most of the day (at least five hours) to try to assist the parties in achieving a settlement but he even came over to the parties homes to see the blockage for himself. I have never seen a judge do that. So involved, so kind, so willing to do something that he did not have to do at all. I will always appreciate his efforts which by the way were instrumental and resolving the case.

This Judge “who is of Armenian descent, has been an active member of the Armenian community, having served on the Armenian Bar Association, the Armenian Film Foundation, and the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America” as well as being descent of people so fled Armenia in the wake of the Armenian genocide (all stated in his bio). He is massively biased in favor of Armenian people in the cases he presides over.
